Coordination evaluation
Coordination evaluations
Coordination mechanism evaluations and operational reviews—whether led by the WASH Cluster, OCHA, or UNICEF—are essential tools for assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, and relevance of the collective WASH response. Unlike individual project evaluations, these reviews provide a broader analysis of how well the sector is functioning as a whole, often including the performance of coordination structures themselves. They can range from key informant interviews and document reviews to meta-evaluations of partner assessments or full-scale response-wide evaluations. When systematically conducted, they inform strategic improvements, contribute to global learning, and can generate technical guidance or lessons learned for the Global WASH Cluster.
