What is it about?

After estimating WASH sector response budget, the coordination platform must ensure funds are mobilized to cover it. More and more emergency WASH funds are going through centralized mechanisms such as CERF and Country Based Pool Funds (CBPF) and disbursed through OCHA, which facilitate sector funding coordination and tracking. Non-centralized funding represent a challenge for Humanitarian WASH sector coordinators National Coordination Platforms as they are not consulted or sometimes even informed of these funding.... funding gap analysis.... is therefore becoming inacurate....

WASH sector coordinators must keep good relationship with both partners and donors to support properly the resources mobilization process and monitor if funds mobilization is sufficient and correspond corresponds to strategic priorities.
